About Marriage Referendum +10

On 22 May 2015, 62% of voters in Ireland said Yes to marriage equality.

It was a moment that changed Irish society forever. A moment shaped by people in every town, village and city who stood for fairness, dignity and love.

The campaign showed the world who we were: generous, inclusive, courageous.

But it didn’t end there.

The referendum sparked further progress, including the Gender Recognition Act just months later. Ireland became a beacon of hope around the world.

Now, ten years on, we remember that spirit. In a time of growing global fear and division, we come together again to say: this is who we are.

We believe in human rights.
We believe in equality.
We believe in democracy.

Marriage Referendum+10 is a chance to reawaken the hope and unity of that day and to bring it forward into the next ten years.
