Ten Years of Yes
In May 2015, Ireland made history.
We became the first country in the world to vote for marriage equality, through the generosity of the Irish people.
A people-powered campaign filled with courage, joy and love led to a resounding Yes.

Ten years on, we come together again across Ireland and beyond to remember that moment, celebrate how far we’ve come, and stand up for the road ahead.

Join us this May for events around the country.
Let’s celebrate the vote that changed Ireland forever.

What Was the Marriage Equality Referendum?
On 22 May 2015, Ireland said Yes to marriage equality, and everything changed. In every corner of the country, people stood for fairness, love and dignity. That moment sparked a wave of progress and showed the world who we were. Now, ten years on, we remember the hope and courage of that day and bring it forward. Marriage Referendum+10 is a chance to reconnect with those values and carry them into the next chapter.
